Olio Skin Care {Product Photography}
Posted on August 2nd, 2015

In case you haven't noticed, Utahns love products made from local vendors. I am one of them.
I've had issues with my skin since middle school and have spent countless hours with the dermatologist and researching online for cures and remedies. After so many attempts, I began to believe nothing worked, and I really hated wasting money. I wanted to get away from chemicals and fake products. I read about OCM {oil cleansing method} and tried it to clean my skin, but the outcome was less than ideal.‚Äč Turns out I really didn't understand what I was doing, or what oils to use.
I started following Olio Skin Care on Instagram and loved their concept. I emailed Jennifer {co-owner} to ask for advice. I will never forget how kind and genuine she came across in her response back. I  started off using their Sea Salt Scrub {this is stuff is legit} and Skin Oil. The ingredients are 100% natural and full of pure amazingness. The Salt Scrub is my go to for everyday, but I love the Coffee Scrub {another local vendor, Cup&Cardigan supplies the grounds}, and the Kelp and Clay Mask.

Here is a description of their products from their website.

Olio Skin & Beard is about caring for your skin in a natural and healthy way. Our skin is our largest living organ. We believe that if you feed your skin vitamin rich oils and unprocessed salt, your skin will thrive and feel wonderful. It only takes 26 seconds for your skin to start absorbing what it come in contact with, all of our pure, vitamin packed ingredients are great to be absorbed!
Olio Skin Care uses real, 100% all natural, pure ingredients. All of the ingredients we use have been proven to be therapeutic, such as unprocessed sea salts, plant based oils and therapeutic grade essential oils. Our unprocessed salts come from Utah and Hawaii. Our oils are natural and contain no preservatives or additives. Our products are natural, chemical free & sustainable. Even vegan friendly.

Now, the oils. The Skin Oil is a fantastic replacement for lotion. I use it every single day! No greasy feelings here, just simply hydrated and happy skin! The hair oil is wonderful as a deep conditioner treatment! My hubby uses the beard oil and has seen huge improvements with flaking.
I was not paid by Olio for this post. I simply adore Jen and Derek, and their products. I appreciate them giving me the opportunity to photograph their product.
Even if you do not have trouble with your skin, switching to natural skin care is the way to go.
If you venture to a local farmers market in SLC, chances are you will see Olio. Every Sunday they are at Wheeler Farm, and most Saturday's they are at the Downtown Farmers Market.
Check them out, seriously, you will not be disappointed.

Jen is such a doll!
Thank you for stopping by today!
